Within the framework of the Echoes of Influence project, the opening workshop themed “BAN SAC – THE ROOT” officially introduces speaker Vo Huynh Phuong (Bryan) – a seasoned expert with over 28 years of experience in operations, business strategy, and human capital development.

Currently serving as New Business Development Director at MM Mega Market, Vo Huynh Phuong has played a key role across multiple growth phases of major corporations such as Central Retail Vietnam, The Pizza Company, Metro Cash & Carry, Biti’s, and Unilever. Beyond operational excellence, he is recognized for his ability to “orchestrate transformation” – shifting business models from stagnation to growth, optimizing supply chains, and building strong leadership pipelines.
Metrics such as double-digit revenue growth, shortened operational timelines, or improved P&L performance are not just achievements—they reflect a consistent philosophy: every sustainable transformation begins with understanding the “root”.

Why “The Root”? When identity becomes the answer to sustainable growth
To Vo Huynh Phuong, “identity” is not merely a branding concept, but a foundational element that defines direction and long-term resilience for both organizations and individuals.
Throughout his career, he has observed many organizations caught in cycles of price competition, technological races, or constant imitation. Yet those that truly break through are the ones that clearly understand who they are and remain grounded in their core values.
It is from these real-world insights that “Ban Sac” (Identity) is chosen as the starting point—not only to address immediate challenges, but to shape a long-term strategic approach rooted in distinctiveness.

Two layers of identity: From organizations to individuals
The workshop content is structured around two key dimensions:
Corporate identity – Shaping value from within
Through the concept of “organizational DNA,” participants will explore how to build a distinctive positioning organically, rather than chasing market trends. Real-world case studies demonstrate that when identity is clearly defined, operational strategy, customer experience, and business performance become more aligned and sustainable.
Personal identity – The foundation of influence and growth
From an individual perspective, the workshop helps participants recognize their core strengths, values, and lived experiences. This serves not only as the foundation for personal branding, but also as a pathway to career growth rooted in authenticity rather than external validation.
Teaching approach: Practical, interactive, and immediately applicable
One of the defining aspects of “The Root” workshop lies in its approach to content delivery. The entire program is built on a “100% practical” philosophy—where every lesson is grounded in real-world experience accumulated over nearly three decades.
Rather than focusing solely on theory, Vo Huynh Phuong leverages concrete case studies from major corporations, complete with measurable data and outcomes. Participants are not passive listeners—they are placed in simulated scenarios, engaged in discussions, Q&A sessions, and hands-on exercises directly tied to their own business challenges.
In addition, the workshop incorporates personalized coaching elements, creating space for reflection and enabling participants to identify directions that are both relevant and actionable in their professional context.

A journey of sharing grounded in real experience
For Vo Huynh Phuong, joining this workshop goes beyond the role of a speaker—it is an opportunity to share lessons distilled from years of navigating different phases of the market with those who share a similar passion.
With a direct and practical approach, he aims to help participants gain clarity on their core values – both individually and organizationally – empowering them to take ownership of their long-term development paths.
“Ban Sac – The Root” is therefore not just about knowledge transfer. It creates a space for exchange – where experience, perspectives, and strategic thinking converge, forming a solid foundation for future growth.
Echoes of Influence – A journey rooted in long-term thinking
“Ban Sac – The Root” marks the opening chapter of Echoes of Influence – an initiative founded by PhD candidate Emma Ta Uyen, and developed and operated by ETUMC.
Built upon a consistent philosophy of creating personal and organizational value in a rapidly changing world, the journey does not aim for short-term visibility. Instead, it focuses on foundational growth – where each individual deeply understands their identity before expanding outward.
The choice of “Ban Sac – The Root” as the starting point is therefore not incidental, but reflects a central belief: every sustainable impact must be built from the root.
